I was preparing to put a metal corner bead over some new drywall when I realized the legs on the bead are only 1 1/4 &#;. This is a bit of a problem because I have 1/2&#; insulating board under 1/2&#; drywall for a total of an inch thickness. This leaves only 1/4&#; of the bead edge over solid wood and I think the screws might split out being that close to the edge of the stud.
