FibaFuse® Double Strong is our innovative, extra strength drywall tape that combines a non-woven structure, for a smooth finish, with a strong, durable layer of mesh that allows joint compounds to easily flow through it, eliminating the risk of blisters or bubbles and providing exceptional crack resistance. Its versatile application options include drywall tapered and butt-end joints, drywall finishing and crack repair.
Application of FibaFuse® Double Strong Tape can be carried out in five easy steps. In addition to the tape, you only need a ready-to-use or powder joint compound and five tools &#; cloth, drywall knife, inside corner knife, sanding paper and plastering trowel.
Step 1 &#; Wall Preparation
Ensure the drywall seams are clean and free of any dust. Then check that all screws are even with the surface and smooth out any rough patches.
Step 2 &#; Joint Compound Application
Apply a thin layer of joint compound along the length of the seams with a drywall knife. The layer should be a bit wider than the full width of the tape.

Apply the joint compound on the wall and then lay the tape over it while the compound is still wet. For inside corners, bend the tape in advance to make application easier. Although either side of the tape can be applied to the wall, we recommend to have the mesh side facing the wall for a smoother finish.
After ensuring the tape is flat and smooth, with no wrinkles or bubbles, you should cut it with your drywall knife. Then apply a layer of joint compound over the tape and allow it to fully dry.
Step 4 &#; Top Layer
Apply a second layer to build up the joint and create a smooth surface.
Step 5 &#; Sanding
Once the second layer is fully dry, use sand paper to smooth out any rough areas to create a seamless finish. Wipe away any remaining dust, debris or loose particles with a wet cloth.
