Metal hoses have compact structure and firm connections. Compared with hoses made of rubber, plastic or other materials, metal hoses are flexible, light in weight, small in size, flexible in bending, easy to install, corrosion-resistant, temperature-resistant, and will not age.

The purpose and principles of metal hose installation

1. Advantages and uses of metal hoses

Metal hoses have compact structure and firm connections. Compared with hoses made of rubber, plastic or other materials, metal hoses are flexible, light in weight, small in size, flexible in bending, easy to install, corrosion-resistant, temperature-resistant, and will not age. , with the advantages of high pressure resistance, good sealing and long service life. It has three-dimensional compensation function. In the piping system, it is an extremely effective component for temperature compensation, eliminating mechanical displacement, absorbing vibration, and reducing noise. The use of metal hoses in the design of petrochemical equipment greatly improves the inherent quality of engineering design.

2. The purpose and principles of metal hose installation

2.1 Purpose of metal hose installation

The main purpose of using metal hoses in engineering is to perform thermal compensation, eliminate mechanical displacement, absorb vibration, reduce noise, move flexibly, and conveniently change the direction of fluid movement.

2.2 Principles of setting up metal hoses

When installing metal hoses in petrochemical equipment, in principle, there are the following situations:

2.2.1 Large petrochemical products and raw material storage tanks:

Installing metal hoses on the inlet and outlet pipelines of large storage tanks can prevent pipeline damage and the loss of stored items due to foundation settlement, earthquakes and other factors; and avoid national property losses and environmental pollution. When constructing large storage tanks in earthquake-prone areas, more attention should be paid to installing metal hoses.

2.2.2 Import and export of mainframes and pumps:

Pumps, compressors, centrifuges and other equipment used in the project will produce vibration and noise during working conditions, endangering the quality of the project and personal health. Especially for large pumps and centrifuges, metal hoses of a certain length should be added to their inlets and outlets. This can reduce shock and noise, improve project quality and extend the service life of the pump, and bring problems to the installation of the pump. Certain convenience.

2.2.3 Tank trucks and oil tankers:

Currently, metal hoses are mostly used as crane tubes for loading and unloading trains, tankers, and tankers. The use of metal hoses can not only achieve sealed loading and unloading, reduce oil volatilization, but also facilitate installation and disassembly, and are removable, which brings a lot of convenience to operation.

2.2.4 Electronic weighing equipment:

Dosing is often encountered in chemical plants, especially polymerization plants. Precise ingredient ratios are achieved by precise metering. The batching tank to be weighed is not allowed to bear axial force after installation. All pipelines connected to it need to be flexibly connected with metal hoses to eliminate the impact of the piping system on the weighing accuracy.

2.2.5 Equipment that requires frequent disassembly or process requirements that require a certain amount of movement

The connection between such equipment, such as filters, filling equipment, mobile pumps or compressors, and fixed equipment or pipe fittings, is best done by metal hoses.

2.2.6 Others

It is best to use metal hoses to connect pipelines that pass through expansion joints in buildings to compensate for the uneven settlement of the walls on both sides. When the piping space is insufficient and the operating temperature is high, a metal hose is added to the equipment nozzle to absorb the expansion of the piping system and eliminate the thrust of the piping system on the equipment nozzle. In addition, metal hoses do not deform at lower temperatures and have good flexibility, so they are widely used in low-temperature pipelines. Because of its good sealing properties, it can be used in vacuum systems with high vacuum levels.

3. Composition and classification of metal hoses

Metal hose is composed of pipe body, mesh sleeve and connecting parts. The pipe body and mesh sleeve are made of stainless steel, and the connecting parts are divided into stainless steel and carbon steel according to process requirements. The corrugated pipe body has two types: spiral and annular. According to the connection form, it can be divided into two categories: flange connection and pipe joint connection. The flange of the metal hose can be installed with international flanges, Ministry of Machinery Industry standard flanges, Ministry of Chemical Industry standard flanges, etc. according to the different requirements of users. Flange combinations of different standards and different connection interfaces can also be made. The pipe joints of metal hoses can be ball-head jacket nuts, inner cone joints, tapered pipe thread joints, groove joints, union joints, claw-type quick joints, open quick joints, take-overs, etc. They can also be combined in any way according to user requirements. . Very flexible and convenient to use, with almost no control.
