Whether you’re looking for a subtle design element or an eye-catching focal point, we have a mosaic tile that works for you. Our ceramic mosaic sizes are 1x1, 1x4, 1x6, 2x2, 2x4, 3x3, 2" Hexagons, 3" Hexagons, 3" triangles, and Small Diamonds.
Our glass mosaic tile sizes are 1x1, 1x2, 1x4, 2x2, 2x4, and 3x3.
All of our mosaic tiles come pre-sheeted with a clear face tape that ships in sheets that are approximately 1SF each for easy installation.
When a clear sheet of plastic film is applied to the face of the mosaic tiles, the back of the tile adheres 100% to thin set, with better grit, making it suitable for wet and submerged installations like pools.
The transparent film allows the installer to see the position, colors, and alignment of tiles making installation even easier.
The plastic covering also protects the surface of your tile from scratches during installation. This is particularly important when using glass tile.

We offer a total of 26 sheeted mosaic patterns to choose from. 25 of those are available in ceramic and 16 are available in glass. Each sheet is approximately 1SF. Some patterns are as small as 0.89SF and some are as large as 1.09.

All of our patterns are designed and mounted with a 3/16” grout joint.

Our smallest size makes for stunning installs like this midcentury bathroom decorated in our vibrant Desert Bloom glaze. The pink tile and grid of white grout offer intricate visual interest in the limited space of the narrow powder room.

The slightly larger sibling to the 1x1, the 2x2 in a straight stacked pattern takes a similar tack offering orderly lines and intricate detail. Here you’ll find matte black tile with a matching grout that shows of the texture of the pattern as opposed to the contrast of tile and grout.

Stepping up to the straight stacked 3x3, you find this pattern has more in common with the field tile 4x4 than the tiny 1x1 and 2x2. This sheeted pattern is great at covering larger spaces and is easy to clean since each square foot contains fewer grout lines than the two smaller sizes.

Another artistic pattern that put small diamonds to work is the stitch. Similar to a chevron, stitch gives installs a directional flow that's well suited for a sporadic pairing of multiple glaze colors.

Q: Can you install mosaic directly on plywood, wood or metal?
A: Yes, but you must use an epoxy-polyurethane adhesive.
Q: Can you install mosaic directly on drywall?
A: Yes, but you must use a proper adhesive or use before a primer.
Q: Can you install mosaic on an exterior facade?
A: Absolutely yes.
Q: Can we use mosaic to surface a swimming pool in a very cold climate?
A: Yes, but you should never remove the water during the winter. Use a cover and some inflatables on the surface to avoid having the water turn into ice. You should not empty the pool because the water not only acts as good thermal insulation but also as an important counter balance to the pressure of the surrounding terrain. You should lower the level of the water to about 4 to 6 inches (10 to 15cm) below the skimmers so that you can empty the pipes connected to the filters. Then maintain a constant water level.
Q: Is TREND mosaic resistant to freezing temperatures?
A: Absolutely yes.
Q: Is mosaic slippery?
A: No. With all the grout lines, the mosaic passes all the requirements for a non-slippery surface. It is important to check the local requirements that may vary from area to area.
Q: Can I cut myself using TREND’s mosaic?
A: No. Each individual molted mosaic piece has beveled edges.
Q: Can I use TREND mosaic in Sauna, Hammam and Turkish bath applications?
A: Yes, absolutely.
Q: Can I install mosaic inside a fireplace?
A: No. You cannot install mosaic inside. You can, however, install TREND mosaic on the exterior of the fireplace using a proper adhesive.
Q: Is glass mosaic flammable?
A: No, glass mosaic is a non-combustible, non-flammable surface. It is rated Class Zero.
Q: Will my mosaic change color over time?
A: No, TREND’s mosaic is a full-body colored mosaic and will not change color over time.
Q: Can you assure me that the mosaic ordered is exactly like the sample I have seen to select my material?
A: Glass mosaic has natural variations due not only to the recycled glass used but also to other factors. The glass will have the same principal tone of the sample, but there could be variations. To be sure you can request a sample of the current production batch.
Q: If I have ordered material today, can you assure me the same tone if I order another amount in few months?
A: If the batch used for your first order is still available, then you will receive the same tone. If the batch has changed, then you will receive a mosaic that may be slightly different. Each batch has its own consistent shade.
Q: Can I install glass mosaic on an existing surface?
A: Yes you can, but you must pay attention to a few important things.
a) The existing surface must be well attached to the subfloor; otherwise you will have to remove it.
b) Use an abrasive to roughen the existing surface so you can level it with adhesive.
c) Level the roughened surface with the proper material, max 1/5” (5mm).
Now you can install your mosaic.
Q: What adhesive should I use to install TREND’s mosaic?
A: There are plenty of adhesives that are acceptable for glass mosaic installations. First select the professional adhesive that will work with the local conditions (exterior/interior temperature). Select an adhesive manufacturer that can provide you with a warranty on the installation. Select the proper adhesive based on the substrate.
Q: What kind of grout should I use?
A: TREND recommends the use of an epoxy grout when superior mechanical or chemical resistance is necessary. It’s possible, anyway, to use a sanded cement-based grout.
