Durability / Resistance to Wear, Tear, and Stains: This is a primary consideration for elevators that see a high volume of passenger or freight traffic on a regular basis. Our Stainless Steel and Brass studs are fixed into highly durable rubber tile; each material naturally possesses brittleness resistance to both high and low temperatures. The rubber tile base component used in the production of Studded Tile is a custom formulation premium rubber, recognized for its ability to absorb and not crack under high impacts and retain its flexibility.
Heavy Weight-Baring: You may have been drawn to Studded Tile because of the industrial, edgy aesthetic (if we do say so ourselves...) but the studs are actually the key to the weight-baring functionality of the tile. The flat back side of the stud sits beneath the tile, and with 144 studs per tile, the weight is easily supported by the studs and not the tile. The studs use the natural strength of stainless steel or brass.
Corrosion Resistance: Both stainless steel and brass are naturally corrosion resistant, especially indoors where you'll find the studded tile. Stainless Steel contains large amounts of chromium and Brass contains large amounts of zinc, making both naturally corrosion resistant. Stainless steel and brass are timeless and live outside of a warranty because these metals do not degrade like other flooring materials over time. Just make sure you are following the proper cleaning and maintenance instructions (avoid sitting water, dry sweep and buff 2-3x per week).

Easy to Clean: Treat your rubber tiles with care, and they'll care for you right back for years. Sweep the floor of debris and soft buff them 2-3x per week. As needed, wash with a neutral PH cleaner or mild detergent and water solution to remove spills/stains. Never leave the floor wet, so that you do not encourage any warping of the rubber tiles. And finally, dry them with a soft cloth.
