We are first first time homeowner looking to replace our ugly undermount double bowl sink with a nicer Single bowl. Apparently the sink needs to be resealed because i can see a small 1 inch gap in the back and lately it has been leaking into the storage cabinets. I have 0 experience with plumbing so I was surprised to find out that most of the plumbing contractors we&#;ve called to get a quote refused to do the work because of the countertops being granite. Most if not all recommended I reach out to the stone / granite company for them to do the new sink installation. Now the problem is that we bought the house at is 2 years ago and we have no idea so did the the original installation. What is my solution here? Do I really have to contact the original company or would any other reputable granite company instal the new sink?
