Polyester powder coating is a type of coating that is applied with a spray gun as a free-flowing, dried powder which is electrostatically charged and sprayed onto a material. The process involves coating metal in powder form and baked to a fluid state to bond it to the product&#;s surface, creating a protective layer. The combination of products used in the process gives the same desired look as painted finishes, and the chemicals used produces a very high-quality finish. Before coating, the parts need to be pre-treated to prepare the surface to ensure that polyester powder coating provides the highest quality result.

• Can you coat my alloy wheels? Yes, we can; however, these would need to be prepped first (either sand or shot blasted). We offer a coating service only as we only have the facilities to do so, and therefore cannot carry out the pre-treatment process.

 

• How long does it take? Our turnaround for most projects is usually one week.

 

• What colours can I have and what colours do you stock? We can colour match to any BS or RAL reference and can even colour match to your sample if required. We stock a wide range of colours, including 200 types of powders and finishes at our factory in Aberdeen.
