Lower Power: It has been reported by automakers that on average, CNG produces around 10 percent less power and torque compared to petrol and diesel-powered trucks. This reduction in power output is due to the lower charge energy of CNG, which in turn decreases the engine's volumetric efficiency during the induction stroke. This makes driving CNG trucks on hilly terrain difficult, especially when it's loaded with goods.
